With a focus on helping ministry leaders develop and deploy disciples who live on mission in their everyday lives, the 2022 N.C. Baptist Disciple-Making Conference will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Friendly Avenue Baptist Church in Greensboro beginning at 9 a.m.

Dave Rhodes, co-founder and chief training officer at the Future Church Co., will serve as this year’s keynote speaker for the event that will feature main sessions and more than 20 breakout sessions around the theme of being “On Mission Together.”

Cost for the event is $12 per person and will include lunch and a bundle of resources. Registration will open online on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022.

“Most ministry leaders are squeezed into a mold of measuring success by what happens at church on the weekend,” said conference organizer Brian Upshaw, who serves as director of ministry strategies at the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. “What if your church was known more for multiplying disciples than adding worship attenders? At the 2022 Disciple-Making Conference, you will be inspired and equipped to become a church on mission to win, build and send missional disciples.”

Rhodes co-founded the Future Church Co. in August 2020, which helps deliver breakthrough, disciple-making clarity to church leaders by providing the next generation of tools for the church. He is also the strategic director of the Grace Family of Churches headquartered in Atlanta, Ga.

Rhodes will be joined by other pastors, ministry leaders and church practitioners who will lead a series of breakout sessions addressing practical areas of ministry. Breakout session topics will address various aspects of disciple-making in the local church, including church planting, church revitalization, missions mobilization and more.
