This prayer summit will provide a rich environment for God to speak, as we gather to seek Him for revival and spiritual awakening.

The target audience for this prayer summit includes pastors, associational leaders and prayer ministry leaders from western North Carolina (west of Charlotte).

Time
9 a.m. – 2 p.m. (lunch is provided)

Registration
There is no cost to attend, but registration is required since lunch is being provided. Register by contacting Truett Conference Center and Camp Office at 828-389-8828 or www.truettcamp.org. A love offering will be received.

Lodging
Truett Conference Center has a limited number of hotel-style rooms available. Additional hotels are available in nearby Murphy, a 15-minute drive from the conference center.

Fred Lunsford

Former pastor and director of missions, Marble, N.C.
Fred Lunsford pastored churches in Georgia and North Carolina. He was also a director of missions for 26 years and was named Director of Missions of the Year in 1987. More recently, the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina gave him the N.C. Baptist Heritage Award in 2018. Fred is founder of Christian Lighthouse Ministries and the Praying on the Mountain call to prayer for spiritual awakening.

 

David Horton

President, Fruitland Baptist Bible College, Hendersonville, N.C.
David Horton has served as president of Fruitland Baptist Bible College since June 1, 2009. David is passionate about the expositional preaching of God’s Word, mentoring students and leading Fruitland Baptist Bible College to fulfill its God-ordained mission.

Mel Blackaby

Pastor, First Baptist Church, Jonesboro, Ga.
Mel Blackaby serves as senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, Georgia. He has published several books and is heavily involved in missions and church planting. Mel and his wife, Gina, have three children.

J. Chris Schofield

Director Office of Prayer,
Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, Cary, N.C.

Chris Schofield serves on the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina staff as director of the Office of Prayer. Prior to coming to North Carolina, Chris served with the North American Mission Board, Southern Baptist Convention and as manager of the Prayer Evangelism Unit.

Al Hood

Associational Mission Strategist, Truett Baptist Association, Marble, N.C.
Al Hood serves as the associational mission strategist for the Truett Baptist Association in Marble. Al was ordained into the ministry in 1982 and has pastored churches in Alabama and North Carolina. He and his wife, Duronda, have two daughters and six grandchildren.

Kenny Adcock

Director, Truett Conference Center and Camp, Hayesville, N.C.
Kenny has been in full-time ministry since 1998. He attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Kenny served at two churches before entering into full-time camp ministry in 2002. Kenny has ministered both domestically and internationally but loves to call western North Carolina home. He and his wife, Beth, have three children.
