The Interpreter Training Program (ITP) equips church interpreters to better serve Deaf Christians and the broader Deaf community. The program was developed by Jerry Porter decades ago. Workshops cover a wide variety of topics related to interpreting in the church. Workshops are 10 hours long and provide 1.0 continuing education units (CEUs) for interpreters who seek Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or North Carolina licensure requirements.

Cost and Registration
The retreat begins on Friday, May 10 with registration beginning at 4 p.m., and the retreat ends Saturday, May 11 before 4 p.m. Cost is only $130 a person for the whole event when two people share a room. This includes three meals as well as training fees. Private rooms are available at $145.00 and includes three meals as well as training fees.
