The Interpreter Training Program (ITP) equips church interpreters to better serve Deaf Christians and the broader Deaf community.
The title of this training is Liberation Theology: How it relates to interpreting and our ministry with the deaf community. We will look at Liberation Theology and the organization called Christians for the Liberation of the Deaf Community and seek to understand their perspective. We will also examine the biblical basis for a Christian approach to this issue.
The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf requires 1.0 continuing education units (CEU) for each certificate cycle in the area of power, privilege and oppression. By attending one of the day and time options listed below you will receive .5 CEU. The same information will be covered at both day and time options. Register by clicking the red buttons above.
