Jan. 14-15, 2021
Caraway Conference Center, Sophia, N.C.
The Vocational Evangelists Retreat is a conference for those whose ministry vocation is focused primarily on evangelism and sharing the gospel through preaching, teaching or in creative ways, such as illusions, comedy, music, drama or art.
In 2019, baptisms continued to decline across the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), and North Carolina was no exception.
The 2021 Evangelists Retreat will focus on how evangelists can do their part to help N.C. Baptist churches reverse the downward trend in baptisms.
The retreat will include practical sessions, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and times of inspiration, encouragement, prayer and worship.
“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ …”
Founder, Focused Evangelism
Jon Reed founded Focused Evangelism in the summer of 2004. This ministry was born out of a desire to ignite the fires of evangelism within the context of the local church and to encourage church leadership in the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Through this ministry, Reed has seen more baptisms in his meetings in Georgia than any church in the state. Reed has preached in large crusade settings and is currently serving his third term as president of Georgia Baptist Evangelists. He will share powerful inspiration and instruction.
Reed resides in Bethlehem, Ga., with his wife, Inga, and their two sons.
