For years, Deaf leaders and church interpreters have gathered at Caraway Conference Center to learn and grow together.

In 2023, Together in Christ and North Carolina Baptist Conference of the Deaf will join together again, focusing on the theme “Jesus and the Church.” 

Our conference speaker will be Sam Wood. The retreat will begin on Friday, May 5. Attendees can pick up their schedule and room key after 3:30 p.m. that afternoon. The conference will end after lunch on Sunday, May 7.

Friday May 5th
3:30pm: Start arriving to get your room key, meal ticket and event schedule for the weekend. Unpack and prepare for the weekend.
5:30pm: – Friday Dinner
6:30pm: Gathering in Hollifield Hall for “Opening Prayer”, announcements for the weekend.
6:45pm: Missions Report.
7:00pm: Begin Worship with Pastor, Sam Wood.
8:15pm: Fellowship in the Dining Hall.

Saturday May 6th
7:30 – 8:30am: Breakfast in the Dining Hall.
9:30 – 11:00am: Workshop taught by: Pastor Brance Long; other teacher will be announced.
11:30am: Group Picture made behind “Hollifield Hall”
12:00pm – 1:00pm: Lunch in the Dining Hall
1:15pm – 3:00pm: Workshop taught by Brance Long; other teacher will be announced.
3:15pm – 4:00pm: Business meeting in Hollfield Hall
4:00pm – 5:30pm: Free Time; Enjoy relaxing, touring the campus and the walk around the pond.
5:30pm – 6:30pm: Dinner in the Dining Hall
7:00pm – 8:00pm: Worship with Pastor Sam Wood
8:30pm: Snacks and fellowship in the Dining Hall

Sunday May 7th
8:00am – 9:00am: Breakfast in the Dining Hall
9:00am – 9:45am: Sunday School (Men & Women will meet separate)
10:00am: Youth Drama in the Hollifield Hall
10:15am – 12:00pm: Worship with Pastor Sam Wood
