Fatima Roma has served with the BSCNC since 1993 as international projects assistant with North Carolina Baptist Men. Prior to this position, Fatima was a professor of Christian Education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and First Baptist Church of South Florida (PIBSF). She has also served with the the BSCNC as office coordinator for the North Carolina/SĆ£o Paulo (Brazil) partnership.
In addition, Fatima has worked as head librarian for Forest Products Laboratory of the Brazilian Institute for the Environment. She was also the president/co-founder of the Brazilian Association of the Triangle and the Brazilian ChairpersonāInternational Focus in Raleigh. Currently, she is a Portuguese teacher at Wake Tech Community College.
Fatima is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish. She earned her bachelorās degree in teaching education from the University of District Federal in Brazil, and her masterās degree in religious education from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
