Chaplain Ralph Thompson is the founder and executive director of Emergency Chaplains. He serves the Baptist State Convention by working with individuals, pastors, churches and associations to increase North Carolina Baptists’ participation in community and public safety chaplaincy. He is a graduate of Danville (Virginia) Community College, Southeastern College at Wake Forest and Louisiana Baptist University. He received his master’s degree in biblical counseling from Master’s International School of Divinity. Ralph has been married to Carter since 1986. They live in Durham, North Carolina, with their son, Carl, and an amazing dog named Gracie.
