TOM KNIGHTSenior Consultant, Collegiate Partnerships
Tom Knight is a North Carolina native, with his family roots stretching from Manteo to Yancey County. He graduated from Wake Forest University with a bachelor’s degree in history and a doctorate of jurisprudence. Feeling a call to ministry, he left the legal profession and headed to New Jersey, where he received his master of divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. He spent two years teaching English in China where he met his wife, Cynthia.
Tom and his wife have two children, Tommy and Cornelia. Tom joined the BSCNC in 2001 and worked as a campus minister to international students for 13 years. He now serves as a consultant and coach, helping churches reach college students with the gospel. The most challenging part of his job is also the most fulfilling—helping churches reach a new generation in a post-Christian context.
Tom is the author of the book No Passport Required, a practical guide on how to minister to international students. He enjoys helping Cynthia homeschool their children, cooking Chinese cuisine, gardening and strategy games.
