The Strategic Focus Team helps churches take a missionary approach to North Carolina’s pockets of lostness.
With more than 5.8 million people in North Carolina who don’t know Christ, lostness abounds across the state. Yet there are certain places where higher concentrations of lost people live. These places are called “pockets of lostness.” Reaching these pockets depends on churches who will engage the lost with intentional, relational approaches to disciple-making.
The Strategic Focus Team wants to partner with churches, associations and networks to explore ways to impact lostness through disciple-making in North Carolina’s pockets of lostness. Our goal is to see churches partnering with one another to make multiplying disciples who will shine the light of the gospel in these spiritually dark places. Our team helps facilitate these strategic partnerships.
This map highlights the 250 identified pockets of lostness in the state. Contact one of our strategy coordinators to explore ways you can reach the pocket closest to you. Even if your church isn’t in close proximity to a pocket of lostness, our team would be glad to discuss other ways that you can be involved.
“But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”
