Pray for 30 days
Pray for 30 Days is an annual prayer emphasis observed during October leading up to the convention’s Annual Meeting. The biblical basis for this year’s prayer guide is Luke 10:29, “Who is my neighbor?” Join us as we pray for revival and spiritual awakening across our state, nation and world. Use these devotions to assist believers as they seek Christ personally and corporately for revival and spiritual awakening.

No Passport Needed
Working with international students is “front line” mission work. Just as missionaries must make a decision to reach people at the far ends of the earth, so we too must make a decision to reach the thousands of international students who do not know Jesus. Use this guide to help an individual or small group think through the process of building a team to reach international students in the local area.

Multi-Housing Ministry
North Carolina’s multifamily housing community is both large and growing. The overwhelming majority of those living in multifamily housing communities — apartments, condos, townhomes and mobile home parks — are unchurched. Therefore, we must develop creative methods to take the gospel to them rather than expecting them to come to us. This brochure provides an overview of multifamily housing communities and offers some approaches to multifamily housing ministry.

Halloween: Don’t let it divide you

Christians have long had differing views on how to approach Halloween. But Southern Baptist Convention President J.D. Greear said in a recent podcast that the holiday doesn't have to be divisive -- in fact, it can be a great way to get to know your neighbors. "Some participate and...

Healthy churches are our mission

Our calling is to serve North Carolina Baptist churches in their health, mission and efforts to impact lostness in their own communities and beyond. Back in 2015, author and professor Chuck Lawless wrote an article entitled 10 Traits of a Healthy Church. Reading it caused me to...

Sexual abuse among breakout topics at Annual Meeting

Highlighted by a panel discussion hosted by the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), more than a dozen church and ministry leaders will address the sexual abuse crisis in the church during a series of breakout sessions at the...

4 steps to engage your community

During the process of reaching the community around us, we must each move from thinking like a missionary to engaging like one. While it can be intimidating to make the transition from theory and strategy to actually entering the lives of people, it is well worth it. To make this...
