N.C. Baptists have released a calendar of events for 2024 to help N.C. Baptist churches unite around common themes, events and initiatives for the upcoming year.

N.C. Baptists have released a calendar of events for 2024 to highlight major activities and initiatives taking place over the course of the next year.

The calendar features a wide range of events, including N.C. Baptist staples such as the Disciple-Making Conference on Feb. 27 and the N.C. Baptist annual meeting on Nov. 4-5. Nationwide Baptist initiatives, such as Caring Well Sunday on Sept. 29 and the Week of Prayer for International Missions on Dec. 1-8, have also been included.

“We hope that this is one of many valuable tools that will serve N.C. Baptist churches as they are making plans to be on mission together throughout the year,” said Kathryn Carson, director of the Marketing & Communications group for N.C. Baptists.

New to the calendar this year is ServeNC, a weeklong initiative in August where churches across North Carolina complete service projects to meet the needs of local communities. The date for ServeNC has been set for Aug. 3-10, 2024, though churches are free to adjust the date of their service projects to fit their church and community needs. More information about ServeNC can be found at servenc.com.

Additional events and initiatives highlighted in this year’s calendar include: “The Call” College Student Conference (Feb. 16-18); Fill the Tank Baptism Sunday (Apr. 7); The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) annual meeting (June 11-12); and much more.

The N.C. Baptist calendar of events also features monthly themes, which have been adapted from the 2024 SBC calendar of activities released in September. These monthly themes have been designed to unite churches across the country around certain themes and ministries significant to Baptist life.
