N.C. Baptists have many reasons to look forward to this year's annual meeting.

N.C. Baptists, I can’t wait to gather with you for this year’s annual meeting at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro. There is so much to be excited about, it’s hard to list everything. But let me share four reasons you do not want to miss our annual meeting on Nov. 6-7.

N.C. Baptists and the International Mission Board (IMB) are hosting a joining Sending Celebration to highlight men and women who have accepted God’s call to take the gospel to the nations. During that special service, we’ll also be hearing from IMB President Paul Chitwood as we think about what it means to be on mission together to reach the lost. I can’t think of a better way to kick off our meeting, and N.C. Baptists need to be there.

The annual meeting isn’t just a time to conduct business – it’s a time to worship. One of my favorite things in the world is to see brothers and sisters from across the state gathering together to sing praises to the Lord. I hope you’ll be able to join us as we worship the Lord throughout our time together.

I like to say that the annual meeting is a big family reunion, and I mean that. We are a movement of churches on mission together, and what better way to remind ourselves that we’re on mission together than by being together?

Hopefully by now you’ve heard of the statewide emphasis we’re calling “ServeNC” in which we hope to see every church serving every community across the state next August in Jesus’ name. If you haven’t heard about it yet, you can learn more in Greensboro.

At the annual meeting, we’ll be sharing more information about ServeNC and giving out free resources to help your church as we all prepare to serve North Carolina from Aug. 3-10, 2024. You do not want to miss that!

N.C. Baptists, I am so glad to be on mission together with you. “On Mission Together” is more than just a slogan or a convention theme. It really does describe who we are as N.C. Baptists.

Will you join me on Nov. 6-7 at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro? I can’t wait to see you there.
