Check out this month’s roundup which includes a monthly guide for praying for unreached people. Also included are resources to help your church promote various ministries and missionaries who serve locally, nationally and globally, a conversational witnessing tool you can use to share the gospel, as well as an interactive guide to help you evaluate your church’s first impression with guests. Finally, as tax season approaches, we offer a free resource designed to help your church with federal tax reporting requirements.

Every month, we spotlight five helpful resources for you as you seek to walk closely with the Lord and make disciples. Many of these resources are created by the staff of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (BSCNC) to help meet the ministry needs of pastors and lay leaders across the state.

Pray Together. Go Together.
Pray for unreached people in least-reached places right here in North Carolina using this new 30-day prayer guide. Each day features a description of an unreached people group and one of North Carolina’s 250 identified pockets of lostness along with prayer points for each. This resource was featured last month as part of a January prayer emphasis, but if you missed it, the entries are undated and can be used at anytime individually, with a group or as a church.

Sharing God’s Story: “The 3 Circles”
“The 3 Circles” is a conversational witnessing tool that utilizes three circles that can be drawn on a piece of paper or a napkin to represent God’s design for the world, brokenness that resulted from sin and the hope of the gospel found in Jesus Christ. Attendees at this month’s Disciple-Making Conference on Feb. 25 can hear from Jimmy Scroggins, who developed “3 Circles” early in his tenure as lead pastor of Family Church in West Palm Beach, Fla. Register for the event by visiting disciplemakingconference.org.

First Impressions Church Walk-Thru Resource
Did you know that many first-time guests at a church decide whether or not they will come back within the first 10 minutes of their initial visit? Look at your church from the perspective of a first-timer with this interactive guide that helps you evaluate your church’s first impression with guests. Easter is only two months away, so it’s not too early to start preparing and planning. As they say, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Federal Reporting Requirements for Churches
Tax season is upon us, and that means church reporting obligations are in full bloom. If you are responsible for your church’s reporting requirements, this free resource can help make reporting season less taxing. The Federal Reporting Requirements for Churches has been written by a CPA and attorney who specializes in legal and tax issues for ministers. It has been reviewed by GuideStone Financial Resources to ensure it addresses tax issues that affect Southern Baptists.
