Before joining the N.C. Baptist staff as a Great Commission Catalyst, Jonathan served as one of the pastors of Pillar Church in Jacksonville, N.C., for nine years. Over the last 20 years, he has been involved in multiple church plants as a team member, church planting partner and a church planter. Most of this time was spent planting in a military context.  

Jonathan is currently working on achieving his master’s degree from Liberty University. He and his wife, Jennifer, have been married since 1995. They have five children and two grandchildren. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys traveling with his family to new places. He also enjoys playing tennis and golf.
