Pastoral Ministries is committed to helping pastors and congregations become fully devoted followers of Christ.

We seek to assist pastors and churches by providing opportunities for pastors to deepen their spiritual, emotional and physical health; assisting churches during interim periods between pastors; providing support to pastors and churches during times of conflict; and managing NC Baptists Job Board, an online resume resource for connecting churches with pastoral candidates.

Pastoral Health Assessment

The health of a pastor is vital to the health of the church. In order to lead, care and shepherd their flock well, pastors need to be aware of their overall health and assess it often. But how do pastors know if they are living biblically, spiritually, physically and mentally healthy lives?

Pastors can take this initial pastoral health assessment to find out where they are on the pastor health scale. Are they thriving, surviving or reviving in their ministry? With the results from this assessment, pastors receive resources with recommended growth and renewal opportunities, and a consultation with a specialist for next steps.

Faith-Based Counseling Service

Prolonged stress and other mental health matters that go unaddressed can have a significant impact on personal well-being, family dynamics, church health and ministry effectiveness. That is why N.C. Baptists are offering 6 counseling sessions with a licensed therapist at no cost through Global Counseling Network.

This service is limited to full-time and bivocational pastors, full-time ministerial church staff and associational leaders serving at N.C. Baptist partnering churches/associations and their families.
