Messengers and guests gathering at this year’s annual meeting will have the opportunity to fellowship at a variety of special events, equipping them to be on mission together. Read below to learn more about these 13 events taking place on Nov. 3-5 in Greensboro.

On Nov. 4-5, N.C. Baptists will gather for the 2024 annual meeting at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, where messengers and guests will celebrate being “on mission together.”

In addition to times of worship, business meetings and breakout sessions, N.C. Baptists will have the chance to fellowship and learn from one another at special events taking place alongside the N.C. Baptist annual meeting. 

One such event is the annual N.C. Baptist Pastors’ Conference, which will be held on Nov. 3-4. Focusing on the theme of “Growing and Going,” this gathering will equip pastors and ministry leaders with the tools they need to grow as they take up the task of going and making disciples of all nations.

1. African American Pastors’ Banquet

The African American Pastors’ Banquet, taking place at 4 p.m. on Nov. 3, will honor pastors and leaders for their dedication, service to God’s kingdom and “on mission together” spirit. Featuring speaker Jerome Gay, pastor of Vision Church in Raleigh, this banquet aims to celebrate, serve and uplift pastors in the faith. Learn more here.

2. Asian Pastors’ Preaching Conference

This two-day preaching conference, taking place Nov. 3-4, will equip N.C. Asian American pastors to become more effective communicators and expositors of God’s word. The featured speakers will cover key themes on preaching — including hermeneutics — and will provide valuable insights on illustration and application to help pastors enhance their preaching. 3. Associational Mission Strategists Banquet

On Nov. 4 at 4 p.m., join other N.C. Baptist associational mission strategists and their wives for a time of fellowship and encouragement at this year’s annual meeting. Learn more here. 

4. Hispanic Banquet & Conference

Starting at 1 p.m. on Nov. 4, the Hispanic Banquet & Conference is designed to equip pastors and church planters with the tools and resources needed to make personal evangelism the heart of one’s faith community. The goal is to inspire church leaders to develop effective strategies to identify, train and send future church planters and missionary teams. Learn more here.

5. N.C. Baptist Ministers’ Wives Conference

Taking place at 9 a.m. on Nov. 4, the N.C. Baptist Ministers’ Wives Conference will combine meeting, worship and fellowship to encourage N.C. Baptist ministers’ wives as they serve on mission together. Learn more here. 

6. Women in Ministry Lunch and Panel Discussion

As women strive to exemplify joy, unity and missional focus while divisions and distractions run rampant, their voice and value must be elevated above the noise. At the Women in Ministry lunch on Nov. 4, join other women in all areas of ministry to engage the narrative, and hear from a panel of women who are walking the walk and boldly engaging in the discussion. 7. Pastors’ Network Lunch

On the heels of the 100th anniversary of the SBC’s Cooperative Program, the Pastors’ Network Lunch on Nov. 4 will focus on our future together as a convention of local churches. 8. Young Leaders Meet-Up

On Nov. 4, N.C. Baptist leaders in their 20s and 30s are meeting at LIFE Community Church in Greensboro to enjoy ice cream, talk about ministry and its challenges and listen in on a conversation with Executive Director-Treasurer Todd Unzicker. Learn more here. 

9. 9Marks at 9 

At 9 p.m. on Nov. 4, N.C. Baptists will have the opportunity to gather for 9Marks at 9 with the Pillar Network. The topic for this event is “Expositional Preaching: How Does Preaching Shape the Local Church?” Learn more here.

10. Heavenly Banquet

At the Heavenly Banquet on Nov. 5, come join N.C. Baptists for a time of fellowship and vision as attendees hear from a diverse panel of leaders, each of whom has a heart for creating a sending culture with the goal of making disciples who make disciples to reach the nations. Learn more here.

11. Fruitland Alumni and Friends Breakfast

Graduates and friends of Fruitland Baptist Bible College are invited to a special breakfast taking place at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Learn more here. 

12. SEBTS Alumni and Friends Luncheon

Alumni and friends of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary are invited to a luncheon happening at noon on Nov. 5, where they will have the opportunity to hear a presidential address from Dr. Danny Akin and participate in a Q&A with Southeastern leadership. Learn more here.

During the opening session of the N.C. Baptist annual meeting, join N.C. Baptists and the International Mission Board in worship and prayer as we celebrate those sent to share the hope of Jesus to the ends of the earth.
