The biblical narrative puts forth God’s vision to have a people for Himself that functions as priests to neighborhoods and nations to help bring about the reality that “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14).

Bless Every Home (BEH) is a web-based resource portal that offers tools to help believers be salt and light in their communities by praying for, caring for, sharing the gospel with and discipling their neighbors. BEH utilizes a pray, care and share approach that helps you pray for your neighbors by name, build relationships with them and track interactions such as acts of service and gospel conversations.
In essence, BEH can help you see the work of the Spirit in and through each person in your neighborhood. It is an effective tool for at least three reasons:
- Helps to recapture the priesthood of believers
God called all of Israel to ascend Mount Sinai in order to hear all that the Lord commanded so that they might be to Him “a kingdom of priests” (Exodus 19:6). However, after the Lord showed up in thunder and lightning, the people trembled, shrunk back and sent Moses up as a representative. Instead of becoming the kingdom of priests to the nations, they became a kingdom with priests like the nations. Through the person and work of Jesus, He has made a way for His people to be a kingdom of priests again, but this time, as people consisting of every tribe, tongue and nation. And we still have a priest, the Great High Priest, Jesus Himself. Through faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit comes and takes up residence in the hearts of those of us who follow Jesus, repurposing us to be the royal priesthood to our neighborhoods and the nations (1 Peter 2:9-10), just as God intended. - Confronts our fractured society
In “America’s Crisis of Disconnection Runs Deeper than Politics,” research professor Brene Brown reported that in 1980, 20 percent of Americans felt lonely. By 2010, that figure had doubled, according to AARP researchers. Bless Every Home helps neighbors have empathy for the people who live close to them. And the more informed you are about their lives, the most effective prayer can be. If Jesus rescues sinners and then repurposes them to be priests in their neighborhoods, BEH helps Christians be on the forefront of ministering to the large percentage of people who feel lonely. - Helps us obey both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission
In Matthew 22:36-40, Jesus said the greatest commandment is “to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength” and “to love your neighbor as yourself.” BEH begins with the most loving thing you can do for your actual neighbors — prayer — and then encourages you to show acts of love as you pray. But it doesn’t stop there. BEH also allows you to see your own progress as you pray, care for, share the gospel with and disciple your neighbors.
“No man has any right to speak to men about God who has not first spoken to God about men.” — A.W. Tozer.
Twentieth century pastor A.W. Tozer once said, “No man has any right to speak to men about God who has not first spoken to God about men.” With the help of Bless Every Home, followers of Jesus can recapture a core piece of their identity — representing men before God and, in turn, representing God before men. This, coupled with acts of love and good deeds, are the kind of things God envisions when He calls people to be His “royal priesthood,” having called them “out of darkness, and into his marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9-10).
Next steps
Bless Every Home is helping Jesus followers across North America to reach their neighbors with the love and gospel of Christ, with a vision of reaching every home in America. Here are some steps you can take to join the movement.
Be a light
As a light in your community, you will be given access to a dashboard that lists your nearest neighbors. This platform will help you to pray for your neighbors by name, lovingly care for them, share the hope of the gospel with them and make disciples of those who choose to follow Jesus. You will also be able to connect what you are doing with your church to share your progress. It is free for any believer to sign up to become a light.
Be a bless partner church
As a bless partner church, you will have access to a real-time dashboard that allows you to see the progress your members are making as lights with their neighbors in praying, caring, sharing and discipling. There is a minimal cost to become a bless partner church ($15 monthly or $180 yearly) or bless partner association ($25 monthly or $300 yearly).
