Your giving to the North Carolina Missions Offering fuels church-planting efforts across the state. In Greenville, Pastor Tyler Eason and Gospel Hope Church are just one example of how SendNC is helping new churches meet both spiritual and physical needs in their communities.
In Greenville, N.C., Tyler Eason is leading Gospel Hope Church with a vision to meet both physical and spiritual needs in their community.
Home to East Carolina University, West Greenville is marked by underserved neighborhoods where people need the hope of Christ. Gospel Hope is stepping into that gap, “trying to be a church in this community, for this community,” said Eason.
Josh Wredberg, lead pastor of Redeemer Community Church in Fuquay-Varina, shared how his congregation was called to send and support Eason and his family.
“We’ve had a heart to be part of planting churches, whether it’s financially supporting a church plant, whether it’s sending a planter ourselves, whether it’s sending a group of families — we love to see new churches established,” Wredberg said.
“Tyler has a heart for those who are underserved, for those who are poor, for those in both spiritual but physical needs, and Greenville had some unique pockets of that,” he said.
For Eason and Gospel Hope, support has come from other disciples who are willing to make a sacrifice and be part of church planting. SendNC supports church-planting efforts by equipping and coaching planters, providing financial support and connecting church plants to other North Carolina Baptist churches and partners.
Through your gifts to the North Carolina Missions Offering (NCMO), SendNC can provide encouragement, training and support for church plants around the state.
“It’s through your generous giving that churches like Gospel Hope are able to make disciples that look to Jesus, love one another and live on mission,” said Eason.
Every fall, N.C. Baptist churches join together in generosity through the NCMO, which goes toward missions efforts in North Carolina and around the world, including church planting through SendNC. The NCMO also fuels Baptists on Mission’s ministries and local missions efforts through associations.
This year’s theme is “Living Sent,” based on John 20:21: “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you.” The theme highlights seeing a need, responding to it and offering hope in Jesus’ name.
The 2025 NCMO goal is $2.6 million. Whether you give as an individual or through your church, every gift makes a difference.
