Starting this Sunday, Aug. 31, N.C. Baptists will be joining together to pray over the work and ministries supported by the North Carolina Missions Offering.

Each September, churches across the state unite in generosity through the North Carolina Missions Offering (NCMO) to support the work of Baptists on Mission, church planting through SendNC, and local associational missions. This year’s theme, “Living Sent,” based on John 20:21, is a reminder that just as the Father sent Jesus, we too are sent to share His hope with others.

Gifts to the NCMO help equip believers to meet both physical and spiritual needs across North Carolina and beyond.

Below are suggested daily prayer points for individuals and churches as the NCMO emphasis season begins. These prayer points are also available at ncmissionsoffering.org/prayer. For more information and NCMO resources, visit ncmissionsoffering.org.

This year’s goal is $2.6 million. Give through your church or online at ncmissionsoffering.org/give

Lift up church planters who are boldly planting gospel-centered churches across our state. Pray for encouragement, wisdom and fruitful ministry. Ask God to call new laborers to plant churches and serve unreached neighborhoods in North Carolina.

Tuesday, Sept. 2

Disaster relief
Thank God for the work of disaster relief volunteers. Ask for His blessings on the volunteers as they show and share Jesus’ love with people in need.

Wednesday, Sept. 3

Mission Camps in Red Springs and Shelby
Pray for the directors and volunteers of the mission camps in Red Springs and Shelby. Pray for their safety and direction as they serve residents of these communities.

Thursday, Sept. 4

Church-planting consultants
Ask the Lord to guide N.C. Baptist church-planting consultants who help recruit, train and encourage church planters across our state.

Friday, Sept. 5

Baptist associations
Pray for associational mission strategists and their teams as they serve local congregations. Ask God to help them reach their communities for Christ by strengthening churches, sharing the gospel and making disciples.

Saturday, Sept. 6

Medical, dental, health ministry
Ask God to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those served through medical, dental and health screening ministries. Pray for patients to meet Jesus and know His love. Thank Him for the medical professionals, pastors and counselors who volunteer their time to bring physical and spiritual help to the hurting.

Sunday, Sept. 7

Church planting among internationals
Pray for God to raise up more workers for both local and global missions, and for more churches to actively serve their communities and send members to the nations. Ask Him to draw people to Jesus through the witness of churches, especially in culturally and ethnically diverse areas.
