Every month, we spotlight five helpful resources for you as you seek to walk closely with the Lord and make disciples. Many of these resources are created by the staff of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (BSCNC) to help meet the ministry needs of pastors and lay leaders across the state.
Check out this month’s roundup of resources which includes Pray for 30 Days devotional, Praying at the Crossroads Bible Study, and How to Have a Quiet Time resource. This month’s resources also include Undivided, a video study series, and a podcast about reimagining multicultural disciple-making in our churches.
In addition to the resources featured here, many more can be found at ncbaptist.org/resources. You may also follow @ncbaptist on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, where we’ll share other helpful resources throughout the month.
Pray for 30 Days Devotional
Pray for 30 Days is an annual prayer emphasis observed during October leading up to the BSCNC’s Annual Meeting. This year’s prayer guide, “God’s Great Work,” focuses on the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, which coincides with the Annual Meeting theme. These devotions will assist believers as they seek Christ personally and corporately for revival and spiritual awakening.

Praying at the Crossroads Bible Study
Do you pray more when you approach a major crossroads in life or as a daily habit? This 12-session Bible study, taught by seminary professors and ministry leaders, shows how ancient prayers of Old Testament saints can be applied to our circumstances. Each week’s study features both group and individual prayer guides to help participants grow in their prayer lives.

How to Have a Quiet Time
One of the best ways to develop your personal relationship with God is through a daily, habitual quiet time. As the seasons change, we may need to reschedule our quiet time. This resource offers biblical and practical guidance on cultivating regular times of Bible study, prayer, worship and reflection in your daily life.

Undivided
We’re divided along party lines, poverty lines and, especially, racial lines. That division has crept into our churches as well. But that’s not how God designed the church. We are meant to be an undivided example in a divided world. In this free, five-week video series and discussion guide, pastors J.D. Greear and Dhati Lewis unpack what it looks like to move your church toward genuine gospel community across racial lines.

Cross-Cultural: How to do Mutual Disciple-making podcast
A growing number of churches have been captured by the vision of every tribe, tongue and nation being represented in their churches. In this podcast, Walter Strickland explains how discipleship is one of those fundamental Christian tasks that we need to reimagine to consider the cultural dynamics that come into play, based on John’s vision in Revelation 7:9-10.
