This is the first of two episodes. Listen to the second part here.
Here is an excerpt from this podcast:
Unzicker: “North Carolina Baptists want to see every child in need have a safe, loving home where they can hear and experience the gospel.
“There are 16,000 children today that are in the foster care/adoption system in the state of North Carolina. How can we eradicate that? The church is the answer. This is how families can be on mission together.
“And so N.C. Baptists, along with the Children’s Home, came up with this initiative where we offer training to churches and families who are called to foster or adopt.
“What if we could be that state where the governor could stand up and say, ‘We have no children in our foster care system right now because it was the Baptists in our state who rose up and said, ‘Give us all the children who are in need.’”
