Life as we know it is being disrupted by the global coronavirus pandemic. In our state, large public gatherings are forbidden, schools have closed, and restaurants and businesses have been ordered to shut down. Unquestionably, these are difficult days. However, in the midst of the chaos, families have a unique opportunity to be missional in their homes and neighborhoods. The “Acts 2:39 Missional Families” resource provides parents tools to equip them to take disciple-making in and outside their homes to a new level.

The seven-week resource addresses:

Loving God and loving His Word.
Loving God and loving His Word is foundational for the Christian life. God’s great love for us compels us to love Him in return. This resource is designed to encourage, challenge and motivate parents and their children to cultivate their relationship with the Lord through His Word. When families display their love for God and His Word, their neighbors will notice.

In the midst of the chaos, families have a unique opportunity to be missional in their homes and neighborhoods.

Being transformed by God’s Word.
Being transformed by God’s Word is the natural result of loving God and His Word. As parents and their children dig deeper into the Bible and memorize Scripture, the Holy Spirit will guide them to live out God’s commands in every aspect of their lives. Transformation for mothers, fathers and children may occur gradually or quickly. Whenever it occurs, neighbors, friends and coworkers will see a difference.

Loving others and being missional.
Loving others and being missional is the byproduct of God’s work in a parent and child’s heart. The “Acts 2:39 Missional Families” resource is designed to take the transformation occurring in the home and unleash it into family members’ everyday lives. The resource includes easy-to-use guides to help families be strategic in their communities. Other activities focus on connecting with, praying for and engaging in spiritual conversations with your neighbors. The resource equips families to be confident to share the love of Christ with a fearful world.

During all the uncertainty, the Lord has given us an unprecedented opportunity to be still, know that He is God and exalt Him in our homes, neighborhoods and all the earth.
