“He is risen.”

Those three words changed the course of eternity and became the banner of all those who believe in Jesus.

When Jesus was buried, all hope seemed lost. It seemed that the world had won and that Jesus had been defeated. But He performed the greatest miracle of all — conquering death. Jesus paid a debt on the cross that you and I owe.

As the women discovered the empty tomb, the angel declared, “Don’t be afraid.” Those words still echo today.

Our debt is paid. Jesus rose in victory. And if you have placed your trust in Him, there is no need to be afraid.

Jesus commissioned His followers in Matthew 28 to go and make disciples of all nations. Because He lives, we’re a movement of disciple-making churches on mission together. That’s who we are as N.C. Baptists.

Several N.C. Baptist leaders have contributed to the following series of Holy Week videos that offer individual reflections on the days leading up to Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. Download the video in the sidebar and any of the videos below for personal reflection, share them on social media or show them in your church this Sunday.
