ServeNC is a special opportunity for N.C. Baptists to be the “light of the world” and the “salt of the earth” as we go to meet tangible needs in our communities. In this week’s episode, N.C. Baptist staff members share 4 things that could happen to you when you start to volunteer for ServeNC.

Going out and doing any kind of service project is never easy — there will always be new kinds of challenges that you will face when you go out as a light for the gospel. For many, ServeNC will be an opportunity to try out new things, to meet new members of the community and to go out of our comfort zone to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

N.C. Baptist staff members recently had a glimpse of what it will be like to ‘ServeNC’ at a service retreat in late April. For this week’s episode of the N.C. Baptist podcast, hear directly from our staff members as they share what it was like for them to serve.

Here are four takeaways they offered:

  1. Serving can take you out of your comfort zone.
  2. Serving helps us realize how much we need each other.
  3. Serving begets serving.
  4. Serving begets sending.
