Church leadership coach, and author Will Mancini has been added to the lineup of speakers for the 2021 N.C. Baptist Disciple-making Conference, which is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 23-24, in a hybrid format. Registration for the conference is now open.
Mancini, regarded as one of the most insightful church consultants in North America, is the founder of the Future Church Company, which is three interconnected organizations that help the church more closely embody the movement that Jesus founded. Earlier this year, Mancini and the North American Mission Board announced a new ministry partnership to help pastors.
In December, Mancini released the book “Future Church,” which shares insights into disciple-making methods and church growth models based upon scriptural principles and Mancini’s own experience working with churches. He is also the author of “Younique,” “Clarity Spiral,” “God Dreams,” “Innovating Discipleship” and “Church Unique.”
Mancini will be among the three keynote speakers for the conference, joining Vance Pitman, senior pastor of Hope Church in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Jim Shaddix, professor of preaching at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
The theme of the conference is “Reimagine” and will emphasize new means of ministry for God’s unchanging mission. The conference will include in-person and virtual components as part of a hybrid format.
The in-person component will feature the three keynote speakers on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Friendly Avenue Baptist Church in Greensboro from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration for in-person attendance will be limited to approximately 300 people, with temperature checks, social distancing and other health and safety protocols in place. Face coverings will also be required throughout the entire event.
Keynote sessions will also be available through livestreaming. A series of virtual breakout sessions will be released on Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Cost of the conference is $12. All registrants will have access to recordings of both the keynote and breakout sessions for 60 days following the event. In-person attendees will receive a bundle of free books and other resources, as well as a grab-and-go boxed lunch at the conclusion of the event.
Given the fluid nature of the ongoing coronavirus response, all conference details are subject to change. For the most accurate and up-to-date information about conference details, visit the event website at disciplemakingconference.org.
Registration is also available at the website, as well as a list and description of breakout session offerings.
In the event that the in-person event is canceled, those registrations will be automatically switched to online registrations, which will provide virtual access to the keynote addresses and breakout sessions.
