Every month, we spotlight five helpful resources for you as you seek to walk closely with the Lord and make disciples. Many of these resources are created by the staff of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (BSCNC) to help meet the ministry needs of pastors and lay leaders across the state.

Check out this month’s roundup, which includes a Christmas family devotional for Advent, a “Who is my Great Commission Catalyst?” resource and a family devotion guide. Also included are the videos from our 2021 annual meeting and a discipleship resource.

In addition to the resources featured here, many more can be found at ncbaptist.org/resources. You may also follow @ncbaptist on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, where we’ll share other helpful resources throughout the month.

‘Family Advent Devotions’
This Advent devotional allows you to take your family through 25 devotions surrounding the coming of Christ to the world. Beginning on Dec. 1, each day’s short reading, discussion questions and prayer prompts will inspire you and your family to put Jesus at the center of Christmas. In the days leading up to Christmas Day, you and your family will celebrate the hope, joy and love of the Messiah in a meaningful way.

Who is my Great Commission Catalyst?
Our team of geographically and affinity based Great Commission Catalysts stand ready to serve N.C. Baptist churches, pastors and associational mission strategists. Check out this map to find out who your Great Commission Catalyst is and to learn how they can be of service.

‘Faith Talk Family Devotions’
The “Faith Talk Family Devotions” gives you access to 24 fun, easy-to-use devotions as you go throughout your day. Twenty church leaders from across North Carolina contributed to this great resource to help you have meaningful and spiritual conversations with your children. Additionally, this resource is accessible through the “NC Baptist” mobile app.

Annual meeting video resources
The theme for the 2021 annual meeting was “On Mission Together,” emphasizing how we as North Carolina Baptists can serve together for the sake of the gospel. Click here to watch the convention sermon, presidential address and more.

‘Now What?’ discipleship resource
The “Now What?” resource is a 12-week discipleship curriculum designed to help new believers discover foundational biblical truths of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. The goal of these lessons is to equip new believers to take the next steps to live out those truths in a practical way.
