The Community and Public Safety Chaplaincy Ministry supports the efforts of North Carolina Baptists to create disciple-making cultures in the environments to which they have been called.

Community and public safety chaplains serve in prisons, hospitals, police stations, fire departments, local businesses and more. We provide resources and recommend trainings for those interested in serving in chaplaincy ministry.

Career Chaplain Network

We maintain a database of all Baptist career chaplains in the state. From time to time we provide seminars and fellowship opportunities for this group. We also have a working relationship with the North American Mission Board in matters related to qualifications and credentialing for chaplains and counselors.

Community and Public Safety Chaplaincy

We can recommend training and networking possibilities for anyone interested in ministering to local fire stations, police departments and other community agencies. We also offer a volunteer chaplain model for individuals who are interested in starting a chaplaincy ministry.
