Planting a church is not an easy endeavor. It’s not for the faint of heart. Church planters face a variety of challenges and pressures that are often unique to your calling. There’s emotional pressure, financial pressure and not to mention spiritual pressure. These burdens can take a toll on planters and their families.

Church planters face a variety of challenges and pressures that are often unique to your calling. There’s emotional pressure, financial pressure and not to mention spiritual pressure. These burdens can take a toll on planters and their families.
But the good news is planters don’t have to face these challenges alone.
North Carolina Church Planter Training (NCCPT) is a four-day training event that is designed to help potential church planters create a strategic plan and address common ministry challenges as you prepare to start a new church.
Planters training planters
One of the highlights of NCCPT is the opportunity to learn from planters. Trainers are not just people who are schooled about church planting. Most of them are current church planting practitioners from across North Carolina. During the four days, you will have the opportunity to spend time with them and learn from planters who love Jesus and love church planters.
During NCCPT, our team of church planting catalysts and teaching planters will walk you through practical sessions that are designed to prepare you to launch a new church.
Sessions include:
- Developing your vision
- Systems and structures
- Developing a discipleship pathway
- Hedges: Developing a prayer battle plan
- How to grow giving in your plant
- Developing church planting mileposts
- Leading from your strengths
- Developing your exposition
- Community engagement
- Best practices for utilizing technology in your plant
Free resources
All NCCPT attendees will also receive a host of practical resources. Resources include: church planting books; a personal month-by-month plan of mileposts to hit prior to your launch; sample church governance documents; sample launch team meetings; and a partner package that gives all Church Planting N.C. planters discounts on needs like mobile apps, giving apps, websites and more to help your church connect on a deeper level.
Becoming part of our tribe
The best part of NCCPT is connecting with other church planters, their spouses and team members. It’s exciting to meet a group of people who are exploring the same paths that you are. Church planting is hard and at times can feel isolating. There is a shared experience of planting a church that can only be found in the presence of other planters.
While our denominational heritage may be what initially draws us together, it’s the shared experience of your Church Planting N.C. tribe that reminds us of our true hope and calling in Christ. Jesus told His disciples in John 13:35, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
The Church Planting N.C. tribe lives this out as you care, pray for and support one another. When planters partner with Church Planting N.C. you become part of a family. Welcome to your tribe.
