North Carolina Baptists have released a calendar of events for 2023, highlighting major N.C. Baptist activities and initiatives taking place over the course of the year.
The calendar features annual staple events, such as the Disciple-Making Conference on Feb. 20 and the Annual Meeting on Nov. 6-7, as well as inaugural events such as “The Call” College Student Conference on March 24-26. Some of the dates listed on the calendar are adapted from the 2023 Calendar of Activities released by the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) in September 2022.
“We hope that this is one of many valuable tools that will serve N.C. Baptist churches as they are making plans to be on mission together throughout the year,” said Kathryn Carson, director of the Marketing & Communications group.
A recent addition to both the SBC and N.C. Baptist calendars includes Caring Well Sunday, a date dedicated to raising awareness and proactivity towards sexual abuse. Caring Well Sunday will be held on Sept. 24, 2023, and will be observed on the last Sunday of September in subsequent years.
Other dates include “Fill the Tank” Baptism Sunday (April 16), the SBC Annual Meeting (June 13-14), the Week of Prayer for International Missions (Dec. 3-10) and more.
