Every month, we spotlight five helpful resources for you as you seek to walk closely with the Lord and make disciples. Many of these resources are created by the staff of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (BSCNC) to help meet the ministry needs of pastors and lay leaders across the state.

Lottie Moon prayer emphasis
Starting in 1888, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (LMCO) was established to empower the international missions efforts for Southern Baptists. Your giving enables missionaries to be sent and make disciples and multiply churches among unreached peoples and places for the glory of God. The International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention has developed a number of resources to assist you and your church in the promotion of this year’s offering. Resources include a leader guide, promotional videos and prayer prompts for the eight-day week of prayer for the offering, scheduled for Dec. 2-9. Learn more at imb.org/lmco.

The prayer guide is available in English and Spanish, and it is designed to encourage individuals to pray fervently that believers will take the gospel to them. You can use the guide as part of a special prayer emphasis in January. Those interested in the prayer emphasis can sign up to receive daily emails and text messages to prompt them to pray throughout the month of January.
