This month’s Top 5 Resources contains something for everyone. Check out this brand new resource — First Impressions Church Walk-Thru Resource to help churches assess first impressions their guests will experience. This collection also includes a simple resource for Sharing the Plan of Salvation with Children just in time for VBS, as well as a Church Revitalization Assessment Tool (new last month!) to assist leaders in evaluating the health of their churches, the starting point for the revitalization process. Also included is LifeWay’s Levels of Biblical Learners to support children’s ministry leaders in planning not only for the next year but also into the future based on age-level learning concepts. And finally, the recently released People of the Book to provide understanding of “What Southern Baptists Believe and Do” to help inform both believers and unbelievers.
Every month, we spotlight five helpful resources for you as you seek to walk closely with the Lord and make disciples. Many of these resources are created by the staff of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (BSCNC) to help meet the ministry needs of pastors and lay leaders across the state.

First Impressions Church Walk-Thru Resource
Guests to your church will make a determination about their intent to make a return visit within the first 11 minutes of entering your parking area. This happens long before their participation in worship. This interactive survey is a starting point for assessing and determining the effectiveness of your church’s first impression.

People of the Book
This handy resource made its debut last month. Largely based on the Baptist Faith and Message, this brief booklet brings complex ideas about “What Southern Baptists Believe and Do” into a user-friendly format that includes relevant Scripture verses. This resource would be an excellent choice to facilitate a summer small group or Saturday morning workshop for leaders.

Levels of Biblical Learning
Summer is a convenient time for teachers to plan for the year ahead. This free booklet from LifeWay covers 10 biblical concept areas that children can learn as they study God’s Word. The concept areas are presented through six different age ranges, from infancy through preteen years, and reflect levels of understanding that follow how God designed children to learn.
