This month’s resources feature a free e-book on how to conduct Vacation Bible School (VBS) this summer, resources for reopening churches, missional approaches amid COVID-19, an aid for inductive Bible study and a brand new study on what it means to be a servant of God.

Every month, we spotlight five helpful resources for you as you seek to walk closely with the Lord and make disciples. Many of these resources are created by the staff of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (BSCNC) to help meet the ministry needs of pastors and lay leaders across the state.

This month’s resources feature a free e-book on how to conduct Vacation Bible School (VBS) this summer, resources for reopening churches, missional approaches amid COVID-19, an aid for inductive Bible study and a brand new study on what it means to be a servant of God.

In addition to the resources featured here, many more can be found at ncbaptist.org/resources. You may also follow @ncbaptist on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, where we’ll share other helpful resources throughout the month.

Reopening Your Church resource page
N.C. Baptist churches may feel anxious about the possibility of reopening and being able to gather in person for worship again. Convention staff have created the Reopening Your Church resource page that addresses questions related to preparing the church facility, service options, worship guidelines, children’s ministry, group meetings and more.

Missional Approach to COVID-19
In response to COVID-19, convention staff have compiled a list of resources to help your church achieve a lasting disciple-making impact in your community. These resources provide a framework for a Great Commission response that is practical to use now and after stay-at-home orders are lifted.

Servants of God
The brand new “Servants of God” study is designed for pastors and lay leaders to know what it means to serve the Lord by serving others. It can be used in an individual or small group setting to help others grow spiritually and raise up leaders in the local church. This study is a follow-up to the “People of the Book” resource that was released last year.
